If you're not running slicks there shouldn't be a problem. The stock ujoints should handle tire spin.
I'm using Brute Force from a local parts store (probably no better than stock), even racing the 383 on sticky tracks. I think Spicers are better, but since I'm not running slicks there should be no problem.

I'm running Brute Force U-joints in the '81. I have also upgraded my 350 HO crate motor with a LT4 Hotcam. Over 400 lb ft torque at the crank. Haven't had any issues yet. Plus I don't make a habit of side stepping the clutch at 4000 either. lol.

Stock u-joints will be fine...as long as they aren't 25 year old stock u-joints if that's the case you might want to swap them out with new stockers or get Brute Force if they aren't too much more
