Good that will be during Power Block and we will get to see them work on a vette and get to see that girl that raced in the Indy 500. Two pluses in my book. Too bad she is so young.

Could they pick a worse name for the project?
A Chevelle guy and a Mustang guy working on the Nemesis Corvette. (An opponent that cannot be beaten or overcome)

Horsepower TV's new project car-- '76 Corvette
Just watched HPTV and their new project car is a '76 or '77 Red C3. They said they will be doing serveral episodes on getting more power, paint etc.

Project Stinkray....horsepower Tv
Horsepower TV which airs on Spike network, has kicked off Project Stinkray. A 1976 corvette will undergo restoration. A stroker motor, trans, intake, carb, and drive accessories are some of the things to take place. I watch this show and have always wondered why they had no C3 vettes on the show. Well my wish has come true. I did not see the show today but my VCR is set for tomorrow. The show will air again on Spike TV Sunday 12:30 EST. I guess it was called Project Stinkray because it was said the exterminator was called to remove its "previous inhabitants" More parts will arrive for future episodes.

I missed it today but I hope to catch it tomorrow. This could be good. Did they do the before dyno test on the car?

They just showed the car it's red/w black interior and is in ROUGH shape. They were just introducing it as their next project car, nothing else other than that.

Before dyno = 0 hp. No where to go but up. Should be interesting to watch what they do to it though. I'd like to see if they look for rust during any of the upcoming episodes.

I saw the episode today...it's one of two. Today the engine was pretty much put together. Old beat up 76 that was out in the yard for awhile! Next week is tranny, new body parts and paint. Should be a good show.

I was the one that told them they needed to put an older corvette on the show.
About six months ago I interviewed with the production companys president and was considering leaving my ten year employment with holley in my current role and being a production supervisor for them. The President of the Production company and I had a very candid conversation about the show. I told him that I have been working with them from the mfg side of things and during my time with holley that they have yet to have a corvette on the show.
I told him that was an injustice because it is and always will be be the icon car of of america. I suggest they take the directors car and use it as a build up car. I told him even if the majority of the audience doesn't own one of these cars that it didn't matter because its americas sports car and the majority of the project build is no different then any other car, its a small block chevy, rear wheel drive, two door, kick butt platform to work on and the cross over is there.
I also told him they were the next hot years of c3s to have. Hot Rod also published my same quote about three months ago. He must have listen, because they decided to do the project. This and the Hot Rod quote have all caught me by surprised and I feel honored that they would even value my opinion. All I am trying to do is further the hobby and give the corvette its just due.
