Re-skinning a door panel?

I haven't done it but everything I've read or heard said it was a difficult task often resulting in less than satisfactory results. I'm pretty sure that most manufacturers don't even make the skins anymore. Save your money and get a new set of door panels. In the long run it'll be cheaper and you'll end up with something to be proud of. Just my $.02.

I'm surprised with your response, since I've seen you tackle just about anything with great success. The skins have to be produced or there wouldn't be replacement door panels, right?
Maybe I'll call a trusted vendor and see what feedback they have on these.
