Heat Shield
I'm thinking of using this as a heat shield for the composite spring, to protect if from exhaust heat.

Think it'll work as extra insurance? I thought I'd adhere it to the spring below the each exhaust pipe. Jeg's has a 12x24 piece for $18.99.

I think you should insulate the composite spring.
Also, it's just a personal preference, but I, myself, convert my C3's to side exhaust. There's no heating problem with the differential, or the transmission. Cabin temperatures decrease. Yes, it noisier. The factory sidepipes are noisier, but not really outragious. Hooker headers are really noisy.
The factory sidepipes will cost about $2200 for a C3..
