Oliver - since that Vette just a hair over 9 seconds it might have been a super comp car (8.90) It does take N2O to do it. Most of the people I know in that class just run 500 + ci motors and they try to keep the weight down to 2500 pounds.
8.90 cert cages equiped with narrowed 4 link setups aren't cheap

I'm sure that it isn't cheap.. but you can get into high 9's for about $20k... I only need to add a 150 shot to my setup and I should be in the 9's in winter...
