The car would even look & run better with black sidepipes rather than the "poser" chromes ones you have now.

Another way to loose 50 lbs is to go with Aerospace brakes.. The rotors and calipers from aerospace take about 50 lbs off the front... That might be my next mod.. However, when already running very low 11's that 100 lbs = .1... I know that on a 12 or 13 second car it is true, but the faster you go, the less effect has weight reduction.. (or any other mod)

I have one of those sitting in my shop on a 68 hood and a original l-88 hood but there not mine but i can use them

I would think that with only 1/8" clearence above the carb you are loosing alot of power. Have you tried taking off the hood and doing a pass just to see how much difference it makes?

i like super chargers better. this guy down at my shop has one running 35psi and it sounds like a bat outta hell. better than the blown big block a few shops down.
