It's because they are a lot wider than the standard covers. Standard valve covers are about an inch narrower...

The old standard chrome covers looked too plain... Covers for my setup are hard to find because I can't use baffled covers because of my stud girdles.. Even with tall covers, there's little clearance between the stud girdles and the top of the valve covers...

Is that a 30-WIRE alternator??? Also, is something not grounded behind your distributor? There is a black wire just laying across that braided line, not connected to anything.

Personally....If that was my engine compartment I would not dare post pics of it. There are wires all over the place. WE all know you are NOT a "poser" but you do not have to be a "poser" to have your electrical wires neat, organized, & safe.

The ONE thing most important you should have, and you don't... a FIRE EXTINGUISHER !!!

All those wires are actually going to the ground on the alternator and not to the + port.. There are only 2 wires at the + port.. and I do have a fire extinquisher..

very nice!! Same covers as mine, just the big block version!!

BTW - are you running braided 1/2 inch line all the way to the back or are you using a metal fuel line somewhere on the way to the back?

I talked a fellow forum member (lvrpool32) into making a set for me after I saw his. You would never guess they are hand cut....

I kind of like this now that everyone has the fabricated ones...too bad they aren't available as tall covers (they're made by carbon components):

Oliver – is that smaller blue line on the pressure valve a fuel return?

I like the no cover look
