Default L88 Corvette restoration on TV

I'm hoping someone can help me out with this. A few years ago I remember a TV show on a cable network doing a restoration on an L88 I think it was a 69. They said that a video would be sold after the restoration of the entire process. I thought I had saved the link to the site but now can't find it. I thought it was speed vision but again can't find anything on their site. Does anyone remember this restoration or how I can get a video of the project.

I watched a few episodes...there really isn't anything special restoring a vette...if you're starting, just bag and label all the bolts so you know where they go....take digitals of pieces and parts as you remove them and catalog them...sand/blast rust from metal pieces and paint the finish of your choice...remove and replace any worn electrical wiring,, interior pieces, chrome...fix all fiberglass cracks, seal, paint.

This is a long process...to help in the assembly....purchase the Assembly Instruction Manual

Good luck

I think that you are refering to the Dream Car garage show. They restored an L88 about 2 seasons ago. You could check out thier website and see if they have additional info. GDaina's advice is right on though. Time,Organization, documentation and of course lots and lots of MONEY.

Good luck!

It was dream car garage. I watched that series religiously in hopes that they would have some info on realigning my hood and the front of my car but they glossed over much of it. I don't think I would pay good money for a video of the show unless it is different then what was aired.

Thanks for all your input. I know how to restore a car but just thought watching it being done would be interesting. I enjoy watching those kinds of shows on the box.

Definitely a waste of time. I was hoping they would cover it in a lot more detail.
