Hood Interchangeabillity
Does anybody out there know if a 75 hood will fit on a 77? One of the guys on the forum has a nice l-82 hood from a 75 and I wanted to put it on my 77 but I spoke to mid america corvette parts and they claim it wont work. Anybody know why or if any small mods I can do to make it work? Thanks

It should fit OK. They were both long hoods. Just remember that just like snowflakes, no two corvettes are exactly the same. What fits perfect on his car might not fit so well on yours, ie: gaps alignment etc.
Thats just part of owning these cars.

Looking at the parts books they are different part #'s, but the aftermarket hoods like the l88 cover a large range. Must be how they mount or latch location.
