It's been awhile, but after you take the clock out of the dash, and have it in your hand, remove the **** that sets the hands.

Turn the clock over...look on the back. You'll see several bent over tangs. Gently pry the tangs open. Then you can pull the back off the clock.

Clean the internals with a small paint brush...oil with "3 In 1 Oil", dress the points, and try it out.

If I remember correctly, most movements are Borg movements, and they're pretty stout. It's usually the electric rewind that fails. Chuck

I have to agree on one thing if you want a watch that does keep time DO NOT purchase a ROLEX. The time adjust **** tends to pull out very easy which is another expensive fix and they also never ever keep good time. If you do have one that keeps time decent do not mess with it lol. And I mean not even a clean job or it will get messed up.

Default Time warp

Chuck has the right Idea, And you guys with the 3 minute incorect time mechanical works. Well If you can imagine 30 years ago, time just wasn't that important, like gas and cars and pretty much all other material posetions. Can you believe there was a time in the late 70's early 80's when C3's were concidered old sports cars and not worth much!

I have to disagree with you on this one. I have two Rolex watches, and my wife has one. All three run perfectly, within a few seconds per day, which is incredible for a mechancial watch.

I like watches. I don't wear any jewelry, except my wedding ring. I don't wear bracelets, neck chains, college rings, etc. The only "jewelry" item I wear is a watch, and I like "neat" ones. Chuck
