Default How Rare is my 76?

I have a 76, paint code 33 Green Metallic with 322 Blue Green Leather interior, how rare is it? I do know it was the least used color in 76.

Are the following years the same color with just a different paint code number? Also, I don't seem to find the Blue Green Leather interior offered in other years, am I missing something?

My paint is getting thin, can someone point me in the right direction to assure when I repaint I match the color properly? Last but not least should I do clear coat?

72 Code 946 Elkhart Green
73 Code 945 Blue-Green
74 Code 48 Dark Green
75 Code 42 Bright Green
Seems green is not offered again until 79

This is only an eyeball estimate, but I rarely see the 74-77 models around town. I see more of the 79-82's such as I own, and of course the newer C4's on up. My brother totalled my mother's '75 about 18 years ago, so take that one of of the list that Stephen posted.

Rare? No. Unusual? Perhaps.

Why do I make the differentiation? Because "rare" implies value added. Unusual does not. Sorry, but that is the blunt truth.

I have to agree with Page on this one...it's tough to find a "rare" late model C3. Now there may be options that are more desirable than others that therefore add value such as convertible, L82 and 4 speed but paint isn't among those RPOs.

Thanks to all that responded. I guess "rare" wasn't the best word to use. No matter, it runs and I love it. Except for the tires, brakes and #4 body mount the car is stock. I am going to do m best to keep it that way.

Rather than ask a question about your car that is unrelated to this person's thread (otherwise known as "highjacking,") start your own thread and ask your questions. That way more people will see your questions and answer them separately.

Good idea, cause this thread is from 2005.
