It was a nice display of power, it was a good burnout.
The first thing I thought about with the one in the driveway is the car is staining. If the throttle was let off at all the car would bog. I only agreed with Turtlevette in that it wasn't a great burnout, a good display of power. To me the car was staining. Compare the 2 video's.
I also feel having a garage in front of you can make you feel different and without my linelock I would probably be very nervous.
Rules! the hell with them.. I am just comparing burnouts. Nothing else.

Guys copy both the video's and then play them back to back and you will see the difference. I have been around too long not to be able to pick out the sound of a stained engine and one that is toying .
I was purposely limiting rpm and duration of the burnout because of the proximity of the cars, house, and people around me......not to mention the fact that the tires are brand new, and I don't think my wife would be too happy about me buying another set already! I also don't have line lock, and I didn't want to heat up my rear rotors too much in the process!

Maybe we need a competition of videos for burnouts.Ill work on mine for this week.
If we can set up donations for tires, I will burn mine off the rims!!

No way I would take a new set of tires either and burn them like in the second video Also the garage would scare the crap out of me.
I don't blame you for holding back under those circomstances.
A line lock sure makes smokey burnouts easy. I have one that has a very slight leak from one of the rubbers. I would be willing to send it to you for free. Get some old tires and show us how it is done.
Let me know if you want the line lock.

Can't think of a better way to "wear em out". Now ya have to crawl under your car and clean all that rubber off the rear quarter, vallance & tail light assemblies.
cool video!!!

Hmm ya, good point! LoL Behind each tire after the long burnout, you could see rubber sprayed all over the street... it was quite funny... some of it blew away and some of it is sticking to the ground now. You can kind of see it in the first picture!

pat... lemme know... Ill be down there with my work camera and well burn those bad boys!

OK, I'm not much of a Ford fan but this is a pretty decent burnout from a GT 500. Watch it. Then watch it again and check out the smoke coming out of the vents in FRONT of the rear wheel wells. Not too shabby for a blue oval.
