Default Here's my NJ Larsfest Pics (lots of em)

Hi Guys,
I wanted to thank everyone for the awesome weekend. My wife and I had a blast! Stanley did too

Lars, you are unbelieveable. Your knowledge and desire to teach your craft to a bunch of guys is truly honorable. As you said during your "Opening Monologue" Tuning these cars is indeed becoming a lost art. I appreciate you taking a weekend away from Donna to visit us half way across the country and hang around a bunch of complete strangers... You are the best.

It was also cool to meet a bunch of local guys with the same interest and passion for these old cars.
Hopefully we'll do this more often.... I mentioned to George (ACECO) that we should get together and do some other stuff to the cars like front end work etc....Anyways, here's my pics and I hope to see you guys in the near future.

Stewie (Hobbiest)

DAMN....too many pics I had to delete a bunch....I'll post a few new threads later....

Looks like the weather cooperated and you had a good turn-out.
You need to post the picture of the full recycling bin.

Our little group is having our second "post Lars" tech session.
Will will be doing a full front end rebuild and rear struts this weekend.

Those pics are great. Lars could probably spend a whole session on just my car. I have not had it long enough to find out all of the little things about it yet.

Thanks again Stewart for being a great host. And to Jill and Stanley too. I had a blast and the only down side was the weekend passed way too quickly.

I have started duping the video's and for a pure "hobbiest", they are coming out decent. Started w/Bob's 77 and the video of the angle grinder on the Demon carb is awesome! I will contact each of you when your car's video is ready. As they take about 3 times actual running time to produce, it may be a couple weeks before they are all complete. However I will be in contact w/each of you soon.

Stewart,
I LMAO every time I see HOBBYIST in parenthesis. To everyone who did not get to see it, the inside joke was that "BUBBA" lived right across the street and had a C4 that must have done 325MPH with the muffler eliminator kit and custom mis-matched duplicolor red fiberglass notchback hatch cover installed in it. He commented that we were just HOBBYISTS (LMAO again) and that his car was "all business" What a blast!

Hi Stu,

Yes, great cigars for sure. Thanks again!

Took the car out once earlier this week and still can't believe how much better it runs. Lars sure has a "magic touch", even if it is all just common sense basics to him.

I want to duplicate the distributor "rebuild/recurve" part on my C4 so I have to IM him for a list of the part numbers used. That's the one thing I neglected to do while I was there. I figure as I have that spare HEI distributor for "practice", I should be able to get it setup w/o too many issues. We shall see.

Got Bobs two disks done along w/the valve lash demo too. Will be moving on to the next one later tonight. I hadn't done this in awhile and forgot just how long it takes per disk to accomplish. However the end result is turning out pretty well w/fades between the scenes, etc. They certainly will make nice "keepsakes" for each of us to remember the finer details in the future. That and I get to kinda "relive" the whole experience again thru watching the videos while duping. Well of course w/o all the beer and cigars.

Oh yes, I took the liberty of "stealing" your avatar to use as the jewel case cover for the disks. Only down side is that when I blow up the avatar to a more appropriate size for the jewel case, it gets a bit grainy. However still it looks better than a blank case. FWIW.

Once again thanks for everything and I look forward to seeing you again soon.

Hi George, any chance I can have a copy made of the carb and distributor setups? Let me know if it's possible. If, no one objects that is. It was a great time and I'd really like to have that. Plus I can use all the tips.
thanks,Ken
