Tony, I bought the Air cleaner from Eckler’s last year and cut out the base with a saw then filled the space with sheet metal. I was careful not to mess up the chrome edge on the base so when it is on you can't see that it was lowered. There is plenty of air coming in to feed my 600 cfm carb. I hope these pictures help you, the emblem is for the gas door from the 81, I used silicone on the screws so they won’t come off into the carb.
