Default What to paint radiator and support ?

I scraped all the old paint and rust off of these and then sprayed it with high temp paint that states that it can be used on radiators bit it went on like crap and I was able to scrape it off with off with my finger nail. What are you guys painting your radiators and supports with?

I painted my support with POR-15. Seems to be holding up real good.

My radiator came from DeWitts already painted.

I painted my radiator, supports and air cleaner with Dupli-Color engine enamel low gloss black. It went on well, covered well and looks good. I did only run my car twice since then. I masked off the fins of the radiator and only painted the tanks and frame work. It is a new aluminium from DeWitts but the paint seemed to bond well.

I got my radiator support frame shot blasted & then powdercoated gloss black. The radiator itself I painted with a couple of aerosol cans of polyurethane satin black paint. Sticks on well (as long as the metal was clean) & still looks good 3 years down the line.

Almost sounds like it just needs a good washing with degreaser first.
I would use Krylon semi-flat black, which I put over my POR15.
However, POR15 requires much more prep work than degreasing.

I used Eastwood Radiator Black that I bought from one of the Corvette parts suppliers on the radiator. Supposedly correct gloss color. Easy to apply and looked good.
