'76 T-Top chrome edge trims: source?
I'm about to send my car off to the paint shop but would like to find new T-Top edge chrome trim pieces to replace the existing ones, since I guess they won't come off without damage, and the paint job will look better if I replace them.
I can't find them at MidAmerica. Do you guys know a source for them please? I'm in the UK so gotta be postable.
Any idea what they cost for a set?
TIA

They don't exist in the aftermarket world.
I have taken mine off and it IS possible.
You drill out the rivits
Then it is also glued onto the top so you need to slide a putty knife under the part above the door to loosen it.
The part around the front is pressed on so you need to knock it off. I used a piece of aluminum and tapped it all around untill it came loose.
I also did it on a hot 95' summer day, I think that helped.

Great - thanks for the reply
I guessed they might not be available.
Think I'll ask the paintshop to work around them. They're used to Corvettes and must be able to deal with them OK. If I screw the trims up while trying to remove them then I'll be a whole lot more angry than if the paint isn't 100% perfect next to them. It's 30 degrees here in the wintry UK, so everything's a little cold and tight.
