Default 6921 miles away

i don't know how some of you have done it. talking about storing your vettes for so long.....storing them at all!!!

i am a new owner of a 78, bought it in may of '04. have only been home to drive it for a total of 3 weeks due to traning and being stationed 6921 miles away (that's a 13 hour flight by the way) in Okinawa Japan. and i have another year commitment here. (USMC if you were wondreing)

now i know somebody is saying 'man this guy is a whiner.' heck yea i'm whining!! you not drive yours for 2 years. just have a couple of pics to look at. try it, i dare ya.

i'm not here for your sympathy, and i dont want your pitty. wouldn't know what to do with it anyway... go to your driveway, or garage, or shop, and hug your car, do it for me, trust me you'll feel better too. and the next time you are under the hood or on your garage floor, and you scrape you knuckles or get oil dripped into you eyes. don't curse and throw your wrench, well throw it if you want to god knows i would, think of me. because i wish i was you, yes even with a lost wrench cause i threw it and oil in my eyes.

i love you guys, not that way, i'm no sailor. your forum and all the great pics just gives me more ideas i'll never afford, and can't wait to do.

hug your car,
chase

All right Chase!!!!

Hey, I'm glad you're there and not me. I pulled my tours years ago...and now it's your turn.

Tell you what...I'll drink a beer for you today and throw a wrench just for the hell of it. And MERRY CHRISTMAS to you over yonder. Be safe and come on back home....

Hey Jarhead!! Watch the sailor jokes

Just kidding!

I promise I will go out and sit in mine today and fire it up. When the roads dry out again I will take it for a spin too.

God bless you and thanks for your service!
Merry Christmas!!

In your honor, we put a new hood on this morning to see if we like it enough to get it painted. Just about have the interior changed from dark brown to black. Just waiting on the new (from an '89) seats and gauge bezel.
Thanks and Merry Christmas!
