The key is FEEDBACK!!! As far as who to buy from. The seller with 100% feedback didn't get it by scewing bidders. And ask lots of questions and no resesponse don't bid!!! As far as bidding wars that is a big mistake!!! If you bid on something early and you get out bid just wait till the end and bid at the very end to what you are willing to pay for it not a penny more! Ebay can be a usefull buying tool but there needs to be a good understanding on how it works to YOUR advantage, AL.
The guy wanting to sell me the defective l-88 hood had good feedback. One of the reasons I wanted to buy the hood was because of his feedback. He was insistent I buy the hood until I showed him the photos of the hood. I told him then and there unless the hood bolted on the car, and wasn't shrunk on width like the one in the photos, that he did not have a hood, but a collection of fiberglass parts. Also the hood pictures I recieved from the complaint photos did not look like the smooth looking copy he showed in his ad. He admitted that the hood in the complaint photos was one they had made. The fellow who sent me the pictures was out around 180 in shipping for a defective hood. I was fortunate enough to have told them I was going to pick the hood up. There also was no bidding war as this had a buy it now.

I looked for that member and I did see red flags in his feedback. I've been doing the Ebay thing over 5 years and come close to problems just a couple times and was able to work it out, not bad for 300 transactions! If you need help or advice on using Ebay to you advantage I would be glad to help, AL.
