Will GM mexican blocks accept straight bolt pattern starters?

i went to their site. Had to look up like a 96 surburban to find the same one i have. Listed at $184.25 plus a $45 core. Hard to believe you can get that starter for 30 bucks. Maybe in a junk yard.
What did you look up your starter under. Was it a 73 vette?

well i got it on and it works. The sound is a lot different which i don't know if i like. It sounds like a new car starting being much quieter. Doesn't have that nasty mucle car starting sound anymore.
I'm gonna keep it though because it saves 10 pounds.
