Tune-Smog Etc
Changed Spark plugs/wires and checked distributer....good thing..shaft was froze...wonder it ran....took it for smog test..passed with flying colors....125,670 miles on that L-82....drive em hard guys..these Corvettes love it !!

Hehe...I had a Lucas Distributor in our Jag self destruct like that; the weights somehow got pulled out and locked themselves against the inside of the distributor housing, and tore up the shaft.
Dropped in a Mallory Unilite distributor to replace it, and haven't had a problem since.

What was strange about three weeks ago I was out in that vette running up there pretty good with no indication anything was wrong...even hit 90...no bogging,etc...weird..when I checked yesterday,the thing was froze up..no advance from that point at all...
