No.......keep running into issues.......The latest......

Rad. bolt down clamps don't fit new Dewitts rad. (???)

New rad. hoses don't fit.....guess there wrong. (Threw the old ones away, dumb me.)

Cruise bracket with accel. cable won't fit on the different type intake manifold.

Gas piping is being a challenge. Have to order some banjo fittings for the fuel pump, can't find them local. (Walk into a typical parts store and ask for a banjo fitting......lol....they will think you are crazy!)

Bolts, bolts, bolts......where are they, and where are the correct ones. If you ever do this, make sure you tape the bolts onto the top of whatever they came out of.

For some reason it looks like my AC compr. is sitting higher and what a jigsaw puzzle to put together to get it mounted back up........dayum.....had to pull the AIM out on that one.

Dayum chit sure came out faster than it's going back in!!

Update: Just about ready to turn the key!! Should crank it tomorrow if everything goes right. All I have left to do is fill all the fluids, hookup the starter, put battery back in, and figure out how to mount the accel. cable bracket to a different type manifold???

I'm turnin' a key tomorrow!!!

Bout time!! It's a good thing Hooker and I were there to steer you in the right direction.

Seriously, you made good time for an engine change. I got mine fired up and rode it 2 evenings this week after work. I'll wash it tomorrow for the cruise-in. Get up early, get that vette right and ride to Byram. See you there!!

What time and where Brett?

***Note to previous post: Notice the duct tape on the fan shroud......lol.......that sucker got cut in half to go back in!!! Got it in in 5 minutes after cutting it, after screwing around for an hour or so trying to get the whole thing in. Gonna fab a bracket for the top half, and drill holes and screw down the bottom!!

The fan shroud was worthless without going in my car!! The cutting was really easy, and it's an easy fix!! Two brackets across he top and bottom with screws to hold everything neatly in place!!

Going down to the garage in a few minutes to prepare for blast off!!

Just how loud are open headers anyway???

OMG!!! Had know idea how weak the my little girl was until I slapped that new crater in her. Freaky unreal!! Auto barking out of second.......lol...freaked me out!! This thing is a beast and with open headers sounds like you sitting in the Daytona pits when the start the engines. Needless to say, I'm tickled pink!!

Had to explain the black marks in the driveway when the wife came home!!
