Default Cheapest paint job on your vette?

Hey guys,

I'm looking to get a paint job on my vette and wanted some input from people who went the cheaper route (Maaco or other shop less than 1k). I'm not looking to do it myself, just very curious to see the results of cheaper paint jobs. Photos would be appreciated if available. Thanks in advance!

Mine was painted at Macco before I bought it. It was a $2500 Macco paint job. They actually did a great job. It is 2 stage and I have found only 2 blemishes. Just remember you get what you pay for.

Yes they did it all. I was real suprised to find out it was Macco. The guy I got the car from has all his cars painted there. He swears by them.

Sorry about all the questions, but how long has it been since it's been painted? Just wondering how it holds up...

Most of the cost will be in labor. So the final number will depend on how much has to be done to get it smooth and how demanding you are. Mine is going to take a lot with a replacement fender, front bumper and some hood mods. I am fuguring about 60 hrs of work. I'll do it all myself, figuring on $300 or so in materials, just a guess at this point. The better material you use the longer it will last.
