Did some quick work on the spare, replaced the original tire, which was dry rotted with a brand new Michelin I had laying around, that was the right size, that people say is exact size as the original

Boston C,
That is a ton of work, with impressive results. Keep the hits coming.

Thanks, this car is just seeing a quickie. For example, my dad brought tire to shop yesterday to have wheel broken down and mounted, if I was doing it like my 67 Camaro, I would have broke it down, sandblasted rim, ground down rough spots etc, use a urethane prime etc. I dont want to hack the car, but not doing a body off.

Glad you like the pics, this car had a rough life, especially for the low 50 thousand miles. I do think it was drag raced heavily as air shocks are in place and I took out and a driveshaft loop came with it...

Obviously need to replace this, just goes to show the abuse this car took....for a 50k mile car, looks more like 500k on it

Funny. I had the same thought. I repainted the steel wheels on my '78 Civic years ago and thought "grey" was the color I wanted. It looked like I was driving around in an Amphibious Assault Vehicle. So I shot them with Silver and it looked great.

This is Amphibious Assault Vehicle Grey.

It is silver actually, but looks very grey in the pic which was taken on a phone, in the barn.

Not going crazy on doing the spare tire over, was a random silver paint I had on hand. Not doing an NCRS restoration...

Obviously this one was not going back in...

Got a decent replacement, was a factory piece but needed a couple little repairs. Not NCRS, but a lot better than above, did a quick respray after repairs.
