What looks like little dings is actually the texture of the paint, I am going to mask it off and do some touch up in the car....it looks pretty good and the look of it in person very closely mimicks the look of the dash pad, slight grain to it..I am really going for a survivor-esque type resto, not a show winner...

not the best pic...but you get the idea

not perfect chrome, but decent, again trying to keep some of the cars age as it is somewhat of a survivor with only 52,362 on the clock

sprayed in the same mix of colors as the gas tank and hood latches, a mix of gold, silver, copper, changes depending on how you look at it...once done, I will spray the lever arms that the ***** go on flat black, as they will stick up above the console

this looks WAY more gold than it is, the picture above is a more true look of how the paint is

I still have slight spray on the edge, wiped all done with finger wrapped in paper towel and also very tightly wrapped q tips, which touch again when dry but paint laid out nice on the face, a little more chrome detailing and this will be nice, like a 7 or 8 out of 10 scale...instead of thinner, for doing the paint removal on the chrome I use brake cleaner as if you do mess up, you can pretty literarly spray again right over the brake cleaner a few seconds later without getting a chemical reaction like you would with thinner.....

My father epoxied some cracks in the storage lid frame, could have bought a new one, but again I want to fix and use as much original stuff as possible, this will get a full makeover, body work, paint, hair, nails tummy tuck haha

Jack was rusted solid.....freed it up with air gun and liquid wrench, sandblasted, cookie wheel grinder, dishwasher soap and hot water, rust treatment and metal prep..then prime and paint.
