this should make a big difference going back in as it was this lip that made it very tough to get tank out...took this pic about halfway through the process

Starting to clean up the nastiness, stripped rust, treated with a rust converter...so wanting to take body off frame but that is not going to happen

thanks, but the Corvette is really more of a side project, my Camaro is what recieved the full on treatment..you can see my Camaro in thread titled Other Projects or something like that I started awhile ago..

My friend will be doing the final paint...he does very high end work, he has a 442 which undercarriage is better than most car bodies look....I have most of the car jambed now, my grandfather had body shop for over 50 years, so we are in pretty deep. Thanks though for the reference.

Keep him in mind if you are considering custom stuff after you are closer to assembly. He's pretty well-known out there, been on "Biker Buildoff" etc...

I wire brushed and also use roloc discs on the tank, then handsanded, then applied a rust converter
