simple line made with a 3/8 tube bender and a 3 way compression union makes a easy on and off

Ironcross, your car looks great! I was going for an original-esque type of look, which is why I used original style filter, in its stock location way up in air haha.

I may even get redline tires, not sure yet...thanks for posting pics of your car, I like your fuel line set up...

so I have been working on the car, put the braided oil line in, ran MSD wires and other stuff, then tonight, even though I had a very dear battery, hooked up jumpers, clicked key and it started to turn over!

next week, I will fix up the battery terminals, wires, buy a battery for it...

this weekend, after 30 years of wanting one, my dad bought his sweet 16 Donzi! so we are putting that in the lake up at the cottage...cant wait!

Fixed battery cables, new ends, fixed battery compartment, charged battery.

Car didnt start, checked all wiring, didnt appear to have spark, swapped distributor for the hell of it still no spark, checked all wires...viola...MSD trigger wire, though the plastic plug were together, it was barely together, must have got pulled out...plugged in, turned key...started right up!!!

Small fuel leak on the line that I bought for the carb, took apart, liquid teflon, reseated, tightened lines, no leak!

Water leak from t stat housing, I looked close, micro pin hole from rotting alum...had several others, sandblasted, refinished installed put water in, started right up again, only ran for a few seconds.

Tomorrow night, top off fluid in trans, also noticed just a couple small drips from side of pan, need to investigate that, but the car sounds great, onto the brakes next.

I ran this motor in a 12 second street Camaro 15 years ago, so was nice to hear it start and run once again, the nicely built swap meet carb Chuck Nuytten carb ran just as described!

To say that I am jealous would be a vast understatement, I cannot wait to hear my car start again for the first time! Nice work, good luck with the punch list, I know mine will be long since I took the car completely apart bolt by bolt, rivet by rivet. Long way to go to get where you are but making progress week by week. Keep the updates coming!

I am glad I didnt take the Corvette apart like I did to my Camaro, it would be nice, but am looking forward to getting it on the road...too many projects to look at in the barn, need to drive something, also we just got my dads 68 Camaro running, pretty psyched about that too.

It wasnt an oil leak, saw the leak tonight, it was from the rear of the power steering pump on the feed line, the fluid was coming out then running down the side of the motor, right along the edge of the oil pan. I am going to pull the pump tomorrow night, put new O ring in etc.

Tonight I topped off the transmission, ran it for awhile, sounds pretty good, need to run wire for the one wire alternator, run the MSD power wire neatly etc, but it is coming along.

Power steering pump is pulled, got new replacement that had TONS of play in front shaft, waiting for the replacement of that to come in.

Got all the linkage parts from Corvette Central, fit perfect...I had a return spring already
