Default T-top question

I know with c4's there are several different tops for different years, is this also the case with c3's? If so what are the differences and what years interchange

Think the big change is in the latch design / handles..my 69 has two latch handles, where my 78 has one latch handle.....and neither will fit the other..

My '77 has two latch handles on each top ..so perhaps they changed with the '78 redesign.

should work. But you will probably need to shim them to fit your car. The top design for C3s changed in 78. I think late 78. Some of the early 78s may have the two handle design. You can buy the shims at any of the Corvette parts retailers. 68-77 same top....78-82 same top

68-77, same.
78-82, same.

Due to the hardware involved, the two types will not swap without changing out the hardware. Example: 78-82 tops on a 76. Works only when you change the 76 hardware to that of the 78-82 models.

68-77 are similar in design and should interchange easily

78 and up will fit the earlier years with an easy modification, remove the "triangle" head bolt from the rear side. I have glass tops on my 71, this is an easy mod.
