Default Save the wave question about the passenger

Save the wave question about the passenger

I have read through most of the old post about the corvette wave, but I did not see anything about passenger edict.

Should the passenger wave or not wave, required with the driver or only if they want to. If passing a Vett with a passenger and one passenger waves should the other passenger wave?

Does everyone make sure they tell their passengers about the wave?

I was talking about this with my passenger and she was not sure if she should wave or not. I though she should, but was not required, since I did.

Any thoughts?

I wave when I'm driving my Honda.
Sure - wave all the time. Why not ?
Worst case: People will think you are friendly.

True story:
I was driving my CRX to my Poker game last Friday.
While waiting to get on the highway (red light), I saw
a beautiful C3 pull up in the other lane a couple cars behind me.
I looked in the mirror, then turned to look over my shoulder.
The driver of the C3 was waving to ME !!!
I waved back before taking the green light.
OK - so it was a forum member who knew me ... what a coincidence.

Over here all the vettes USED to be RHD, now the laws have changed and the older ones can be LHD. We wave at all vettes but they are few and far between on the road. Passengers are allowed to wave, but only if they want to......

My first thought is..... shouldn't you and your female passenger be discussing more important issues such as ...."who's going to be on top tonight"?

This isn't about passenger waving issues but it is a wave story. I was driving the Vette to work and had to make a left turn from the middle turn lane. There was alot of traffic and a nice lady in a Volvo stopped and let me through. There was also a C4 right behind the Volvo. Well I waved at the lady who let me through to thank her and the guy in the C4 waved back, must have been a forum member who heard us all rantin' about C4-6er's not waving. I like to think of it as a dual action wave. It made me smile.

We did not need to "discuss" that .. since she was on top before we took the drive and I would be on top after the drive.

Ok, the drivers acknowledge eachother, should the passenger chime in or is just the driver acknowledge enough? But if the passenger does nothing.. then will they get bashed like some C6 drivers do?

Driver's wave is enough, but anytime I've been cruising with a passenger, she's waved too. But then, she owns two of her own.

Does anyone really care what C6 leasees do?
