Within the next couple of days I will be changing out the pass side u-joints ,and the u-joints in the drive shaft while I'm at it.I get a clicking on the driveshaft and a squeek on the half shaft.I have never done this on a Vette before so any tips will be much appreciated.I will have the standard combo of heat and PB blaster on hand and will start soaking everything a couple days before. Thanks guys.
While you're at it, you might as well do the u-joints on driver's side also. Then you'll be set for another 100,000 miles!
Unless something is very wrong, the bolts won't be very hard to get out if you have the proper wrench. They aren't torqued that much. The hardest ones to get will be at the rear of the drive shaft. You can get to them one at a time by rotating the drive shaft (tranny in neutral), and undoing them one at a time.
I use a great-big C-clamp (Home Depot - $19) to press out the bearing cups, and to press the new joints into place. (Find a heavy duty socket that is the proper size to push on the cups.) A hammer can damage the shafts.

Good luck...
Well, the previous owner did the drivers side and didn't do a "While your at it",so I gotta do the rest.
Be careful, you know what happens when you do the "While I'm at it". Maybe rear bearings which could lead to changing rear end fluid, which leads to new gears, etc., etc. etc.
