Default Emergency / Parking Brake Handle Repair

Just bought back my old 79 L82 4speed which now has 15,000 miles.
Problem is the release button on the parking brake popped out and so did the spring.
Hey I've been a C-4 guy for so long I forget some of the basics.
How does one repair or replace to fix this?
Thanks in advance!!!!

Marty

Exact opposite last night. Button went in but wont release the brake without jiggling and fussing with it

I used Devcon 62345 Plastic to Steel Epoxy to repair the emer brake handle button on mine. Rough up the metal rod end and do a good degrease on both items. Mix expoxy correctly and apply. Use duct tape to hold button in the depressed position. Cure time per instructions. Mine has lasted some 4 years now.
