I spent 6 years restoring and modding my '72 (I'm in England, so not as easy here as in the USA - you lucky people). Made many changes such as later C3 mirrors, 18" wheels, removed external door locks and use alarm with central locking etc. But the improvement (to some, disaster to others I suppose - but I like it) that gets most comments - mostly good so far, is that I colour matched the interior gauges and a few other bits. I'll post a picture as it's easier than trying to describe it.

I figured I was the only person planning one of these mods. Already done my homework and know where it's getting mounted. Just have to find the right start button. Serves no purpose other than the cool factor.

I put one in my Porsche, way cool and very useful. Keys are hard on Porsche ignition switches. I used a Honda S2000 starter button. Cheap and is lighted too.

The previous owner had done a lot to my 1981 before I got it, like replace the engine with a built 4-bolt block, mild cam and removal of all the computer stuff. But personally I've done:

Replace the stock transmission with a 700R4 and 2200 stall converter
True dual exhaust
Dewitts aluminum radiator
Dual Spal fans
Rebuilt the rear suspension with poly and VB&P adjustable strut rods
Pioneer CD player, Kicker 7x10 speakers and amp
Mahogany and leather steering wheel
C5 Magnetic Red paint
Plus the normal things like new PS pump, water pump, tires, etc

I still want to add a rear sway bar and upgrade the rear end.
Long tube headers and Magnaflow mufflers are in the near future.

Looks like he's being coy
Best mod I ever did was fitting an OD trans. After that everything else seems insignificant (with the exception of custom dual pipes).
