Default Zora Arkus Duntov special editions

Is anyone familiar with any special edition cars put out by Duntov in the late 70's early 80's? I am looking at a 1979 Corvette with special badging reflecting Zora's name. I remember that I think he made some convertible turbo cars in I believe 1980. Anyone have info on anything from those years especially 1979?

Thanks!

Eric

I was able to find that there were 86 of the '80 model year made. Didn't find anything about the '79 yet.

Sorry, I actually have not seen it yet. I found a white 80 online that says 1 of 200 on the badging, but mentions the 86 in the information about it. Does anyone know if there were any coupes made, say maybe 114? Just a guess.. http://www.rogerscorvette.com/spots/feb99/spot.htm

I hope to see it this weekend and will report back what I find. Any ideas on value?

Thanks for the help.

Who made those ugly things. They look worse than the stationwagons. Possibly something Greenwood slapped together? He had a nack of junking up some good Vettes.

Search the archives, someone asked about those a few months ago.

I believe they were built by ACI. BTW, Greenwood had a nack of slaping together some of the FASTEST Corvettes ever built, to each his own. /:\

Also characteristic of him was to leave in the middle of the night to avoid taking care of his obligations. I dont care for him, he cost me a damn good Woodie Gilmore chassis AA Fuel Roadster by leaving it in anothers building.

Sorry to hear about your loss Ironcross. Most racers are weasels. Racers being racers will say or do just about anything to get their hands on the next couple of bucks to keep running. Rule number one, never do business with one. How do I know this? I'm a racer (Just not a very good one)

PS everybody, don't bother flaming me about "I'm a racer and I'd never..." The stories of the scams, cons, and parts "borrowed" from spectator's cars are well documented. Most are all well respected captians of industry now, and legends in Corvette lore. If you or I did that, we'd go to jail. It was a different time.

Duntov lent his name to the '80 edition, he didn't have anything to do with its development.
