I do like the original, altho I've wanted a set of chrome reverse wheels with baby moons since I was a teenager (can't believe that was 50+ years ago!!). Kinda combined the two. Have a great day, Bill

American Racing Torq Thrust II 15x8's with 225/70R15 BFG Radial TA.
Just replaced my tires from 1996. Came out in the garage and found a flat. Couldn't have found a better way to convince the wife I needed new rims/tires. Drives so much better.
My questions is now do I keep or sell the originals...

Has anyone tried the American Racing new Rally wheels? And will the center caps fit?

This thread and others came in very handy for ideas, especially when it came to sizing and backspacing.

For those who have been curious what an 18" front and 19" rear combo looks like...here you go. Had to go custom built but the tires were surprisingly easy to size/find. These are 18x9 and 19x10 Billet Specialties SLG45s. We'll be moving soon, so I'm waiting to lower it to get rid of the wheel gap until that's complete. What do you think?
Thanks for posting, it looks absolutely stunning and your car proves a c3 can have modern low sidewall tires and still look good. What tires do you have? No rubbing issues up front? I just bought a set of c6 z06 wheels 18x9.5 and 19x12 which i want to fit on my '80. Was looking for pics of a c3 with an 18-19" combo, thanks

Thank you. Yours will look great. I love the 18-19" combo but pictures sure are hard to come by. I went with Hankook Ventus V12 Evo2. Found a ton of good reviews on the Evo1 and they are priced really well. No rubbing issues and I still have a ton of room out back.

[QUOTE=curtis74;1556800532]How about these Centerlines?

[/QUOTE

Hello, I really like the look of your wheels and tires!! This green looks mint on your vette!! Can you please share what wheel sizes you used, front and back and the tire sizes? I would greatly appreciate your help. Did you have to do any mods for the wheels & tires? Great stance wondering if you lowered the height a bit?

Thanks for your help

Tommy

these right after delivery, 15x8.5

2 days later back from polish, mirror like finish

on car and lowered , 255/60r15 on back, 245/60r15 fronts, 26.5 inches from ground to bottom of fender on front, 27.5 in rear to fender not sure if too low

another angle

before pic with stock rims

1980 L82, with 4 speed, wouldn't have bought if automatic

Now rims - in Canadian monopoly money

Western Superlites

15x8.5 with 4" backspace
255/60r15 rear - 27.5 ground to fender
245/60r15 front - 26.5 ground to fender

rims- $800
shipping across Canada -$250
polishing and stuff - $537
lug nuts - $34
Hub centric rings made - $95

Total = $1716

Only thing now, I sitting pretty low, haven't drove it around yet, so hopefully not to low

Great looking C3. Can you share the wheel/tire setup... rim/tire size, offset/back space, any modification, etc, I am looking to do something similar to mine and would like to maximize tire size without any modification.
