Very nice What is your ride height, you car looks like it's at the best height appearance wise. What profile are your tires?

I'm told the color is not Corvette, but is GM.I inherited it,like it & I'm keeping it. Have never seen another vette...or anything else quite that shade. Its got very fine metallic flake, also. The paint guy matched the hood,& molded rockers very well, but I do need the rest done soon.

I'm around 1.5+ inches lower than stock. The tires are presently 245-45-17's at all 4 corners, but I will be upgrading to 255's up front. Not sure how wide I can go out back, but they dont make the 45's wider than 255,so what should I go with...50's?

The hood is ACI's Hi-Rise Vented Hood.I wanted something different, its 1.5" taller for clearance(want a different manifold),& also lighter than stock

Heh, and watch out for parking bumpers with that big air dam. I see so many ricers around here with thise big body kits, all cracked up and hanging off because they don't know how to park the thing.

Those are the factory option 'pace car' spoilers offered in 79.I have to go into some parking lots,& watch the road carefully or I'll tear it up.I do scrape occasionally, but at least the front is somewhat flexible-theyre plastic.Fiberglass woulda been gone by now

Good to see you're careful. I always cringe when I see what's left of other peoples dams in parking lots next to those frig'n parking bumpers.

What makes it interesting, even being 6'3" ,even I cant see the nose on my 79.Pulling into parking spaces, you stop where it looks like youre a bit too far from those concrete 'bumpers',& in reality thats about perfect

That's why so many people use the "Scrape" method. When you hear scraping...you stop. *Cringe*

50's will make the tire a little taller. I running 255/60/15's on factory aluminum rims on all four. Now I just have to lower it a tad.

I might. Are they expensive emblems? I don't want crappy pitted used ones. I'd want some shiny new ones.

Depends on what you consider "expensive",but it varies. I got lucky on just one new one on Ebay, for around $15.00. I mounted one on the front of my sub box. Heres a page from Ebay-> http://search.ebay.com/search/search...gray%22+emblem New ones... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Corve...spagenameZWDVW
