Default rear view with maplight

I RECENTLY ACQUIRED A MIRROR WITH MAPLIGHT. THERE WAS NO WIRE SHOWING,CONSEQUENTLY I TOOK EVERY THING APART AND STILL AM NOT SURE HOW TO WIRE. HAS ANYONE ELSE REDONE THIS PROJECT? DOES ANYBODY REBUILD THESE? ALL HELP WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

Yes, I've rebuilt mine.
Should just be one gray wire up to the mirror.
Have you removed the glass to verify innards are there ?
Should be a lens, slide/switch, and some copper "hooks" that hold the bulb.
Bulb ground is through mirror housing/mount.

Sorry, no pics of this.
I can try to get one this weekend.

I haven't seen a drawing, and I've already sealed mine back up after rebuilding. If I remember corrrectly, the grey wire goes through the top of the housing in a bullet-shaped plastic holder and ends in a pin about 1/16" in diameter. The pin pushes against the top of the roughly U-shaped piece (copper or brass, I forget) that holds one side of the lamp. This is how the +12V gets to the lamp. As NHvette said, the ground goes through the housing and ball that fits into the socket on the windshield frame.
