*** Another Muffler Question ***
All factory original 68 trips 400hp conv car want to keep the original look but want it a bit louder, deeper sound. Is there a muffler that looks like the original thats throatier / louder ? was thinking of trying to drill them out.............( hollow out ) the ones i have but there is too much of a curve at the one end for the tail pipe to drill / hollow it
any ideas suggestions ? THANKS ZIXXX PACKER

Cut the pipe/muffler right on the weld. Cut it where the exhaust pipe connects to the muffler, not at the tailpipe.
Now see what type of muffler it is, perforated tube or reverse flow design.... can you see thru the muffler ?
If it's reverse flow you should be able to drill and cut it open so that you can see from inlet to outlet..... if it's a perforated tube I'd replace that tube with a pipe... now reweld the muffler in place. Looks 100% stock and is pretty loud
It's probably easier to just buy two Flowmasters, that way you can restore the exhaust to 'original' whenever you want.....
