Which way does the lower control arm shaft mount to the frame? I have the shaft installed correctly on the A-Arm, but which way to flip it? One side has more of a long raised area, while the other side has a small protrusion near the 2 - 5/8" bolts towards the front. I checked AIM and it does not indicate. I thought this would be an obvious issue, but need some input - thanks
you need to put it on so that the ears for the 2 bolts sit flat against the frame. If it is reversed the shaft will get in the way of this and put some extra bending force on the ears.
That is how I installed it. Thanks - and that makes sense.
So - just to be try to explain (without a picture), The side that has a raised area the entire length of the shaft goes down away from the frame. The side with a short raised area on the bolt ears (perpendicular to the shaft) goes up towards the frame. Clear as mud? Thanks Chris!
Also just FYI, the torque specs are 65-75 on the 2 smaller bolts and 75-110 on the large bolt per AIM
