The frame and all the parts that I POR-15'd are not a nice Charcoal Gray.

I don't know how I have missed this thread but this morning is my first time seeing it. Good work. I love lots of pics. I know you haven't started on the body/interior yet but I am interested in what you are planning for the floor pans. They look very much like mine. Do you know the source of the leak? Birdcage okay? Keep the updates and pics coming.

You have to love when those boxes show up on the doorstep. What a great feeling. My Wife told the UPS driver that he is going to be put of work now that my Vette is almost complete. He can't wait to hear it run (me neither)!

Hardrock: I don't think there was a leak. There isn't any sign of water above the pans. I know it's all fiberglass and doesn't rust but it appears that they rusted from the bottom as well as moister trapped in the carpet. I'm going to buy the replacement pans from MAM when the time comes to do body work. That's after the frame rolls

82MDVette: I've been following your rebuild thread with much anticipation. It's so close "I" can taste it. Keep it up and thanks for posting all the progress.

I pulled the front spindles apart tonight and the bearings all look and fit like new. They must have been done recently because there is no wear. The only problem is that the outer race of the right side moves about 1/32 of an inch in the wheel assembly. I'll get a new outer bearing and hope it fits better.

This weekend I'll be putting the front suspension together. The spindles were the last thing but they can be (and it's probably easier) done on the car.

I need to decide what is going to happen with the differential. I want 3.70 gears and would like to ditch the posi clutch but I don't have much space to devote to rebuilding the one I have. Does anyone know of a place I can buy (or have mine rebuilt) a diff setup like Gary does his. I know I should send mine to Gary as there can't be anyone doing better work than him.

Default Weekend good times

Front suspension is together minus springs and shocks. I'll put those in when I have the engine to weigh it down. I'm buying new front bearing today.

I put the trailing arms in to get them off the floor, and it looks more like a car that way.

Man that frame looks great. You must be very proud of yourself with all the hard work and progress to this point.
