Painting underside of '73 hood question...
I need info/pics on painting the underside of the hood on my '73. I've done a search and found a few pics showing 70-72, but not a '73. I know the the inside lip around the front and sides match the body color...I just don't know what's going on in the cowl area. Is that wide area black or body color? Thanks...

Melting Slicks
The tips of the hood on the top corners have a 6" body color arrow head like corner and the rest is blacked out if you need a factory look.
A picture would be best but my car is stored yet.

Per NCRS Judging Guide:
The underside of the hood is painted semi-gloss black. This blackout started at the rear edge of the hood and proceeds forward following the line of the hood weather-stripping. The edge of the blackout is not even and should not have a crisp or sharp edge...
Basicly the underside of the hood was painted black out, the the exterior was painted. What is on the underside would be overspray.
