I'm 19 now, was very grateful to get my 72 when I was 17. When I bought it...

And now:

I've put a lot of money into it, and now it's for sale (for a variety of reasons, none of which relate to how awesome it is to drive!). Funny how that works, innit?

Im 26, go mine 2 years ago.
It was given to me by my cousin, she received it as a present from an ex boyfriend 5 years before that and never really took care of the car!
It was in horrible condition and i did spend a lot of time and money to make it drivable again!
The deal was that since it was given to her she would give it to me only if i promise to never sell it, all i can do is give it to someone if i decide to pass it on and make them promise to do the same!
I dont see myself ever getting bored of it and giving it away but i still think its a sweet deal!

And i feel old saying that (im actually 27 in a few weeks) but come on!

Young, "By that, I mean under 25"!!! geee

I was 19 when I bought my first vette, an 86 I'd rather not think about. I've had this one for about 3 years, I'm 24 now. She definitely didn't look like this when I bought her after a deployment.

I'm 24, and bought my first corvette, a 2000 C5 convertible at 21 in Afghanistan.

Then, on my second deployment, at 23, I sold it and bought my true dream car, the '68 Convertible that I have now.

Cheers!

I got my 78 for free, and I didn't ask for it either. Mom surprised me with it last summer out of the blue. She had her reasons. I have poured in $$$ since then to get this ride back to a solid driver. BTW I'm old enough to be the farther of 95% of the posters on this thread.

A little (and I mean a little) wisdom speaking here. It doesn't matter what YOUR ride looks like, know why, because it's YOUR vette not anybody else's. Bottom line your driving a vette, and that's what counts.

Oops. BTW I am going to try and help my oldest son (17) get into a classic El Camino, that's the car he really likes.

I guess my 16 y.o. son has a vette. I let him tell everybody "my" 78 is his. Even having a shirt made up for him to wear at our local cruise night it says " I let my dad drive my car." Yeah, he's a vette guy too.
