Default Took my windows out

Since I took the convertible top off of my car, I figured that there is no need for the driver and passenger windows either. I was tired of hearing them rattle inside my doors. This seemed like a simple project, but it still took me all day to do it! Frozen bolts, small working spaces and not knowing a correct procedure all worked against me. At least I got them out without any broken glass

To each his own, but I gotta say, you didn't buy a corvette to redneck it. If you got a project, it AINT gonna be free.

Feel like I'm getting attacked here.

I realize that no project I have for this car is going to be free, or even cheap. These windows were a pain for me anyways. They did not function properly and would not roll all the way up evenly when they did and would often get stuck. Plus they rattled as if they were just set inside the door instead of installed. Several parts of the mechanism inside the door needed to be replaced. I have no need for these windows anyways. This car is a fair weather weekend cruiser. So I took them out. Why bother putting hundreds of dollars into something that I do not want and will not use anyways? This was not a "redneck" or "Bubba" decision, but a decision after months of consideration. I do not jump into anything on this car without thought and research first. It may not be a choice that others would make, but I am happy with it!I just thought that my difficulties on what seems like an easy project would be a funny story to share.

I do not see anything hack jobbed with removing the side glass from a weekend warrior/cruise car, and when/if the day comes to reinstall the glass the repairs the mech needs will be easier with glass out.
While I do not believe anyone should have to justify a mod they do to "their" car welcome to how a public forum is,
Modifications simply upset some people they want your build done their way..., then after one mullet jumps well, monkey see monkey do...
Understand that too many people do not think outside the box they stick lime in their corona because the last fellow did and in extreme cases follow each other off a cliff......

Well said,...however I would like to add to the OP. I don't think I read what you were going to do with those broken rusted parts. Keep them in a bx somewhere. It might be something a new owner would like if and when that time comes.

Leave Corona out of this. It's good with or without lime.

Like Mexicans know anything about beer. Wish I lived in a place I didn't have to worry about a roof or windows on my vehicle. Kudos to the OP, very jealous.

LOL, I'm a Newcastle man myself!

I guess I can call these mods my "so-cal global warming" modifications!

Now that you've removed the top and windows, the end of the drought is near.

the top or the windows have not been up in my car for well over 2 years . last time I looked the top was fine but if ever needs replaced , its coming off.
The hard top has been hanging in the rafters longer than that.
I can understand where the op is coming from
