Jimi Hendrix and his Corvettes?
I've read over the years that Jimi Hendrix had owned at least 2 1968/69 Corvettes. One was silver ,the other blue, both automatics. Jimi recieved several speeding citations in the silver vette in upstate NewYork and considered painting the car black. The blue car was supposedly purchased in California while travelling with a Rolling Stone Magazine writer who mentioned this in his article relating to Hendrix. Anyone ever heard what became of the guitar legends' Stingrays?

Jimis' vettes
I had checked out that thread, unfortunately it was mostly consumed with discussion of amplifiers and who,Clapton or Hendrix, was a more talented musician. However thank you for the heads up because there was a really great photo of Jimi in one of his Stingrays. Just curious if any of Jimis' cars were kept by the Hendrix family or sold after his passing. Imagine a Corvettes' famous owner history lost to time,an unsuspecting owner not knowing that Hendrix loved spending time behind that same wheel.I would think a Documented Hendrix Corvette would be quite a spectacular find, don't you think?

Here's a lead in case you thought you wanted to try and track down those cars.
I've seen this guy perform a couple of times and really enjoy his music
Guitar Shorty.
This guy apparently was quite close to Hendrix back in the day and is/was, in fact married to Hendrix's sister. Not a huge celebrity and may be approachable.
Long shot, but if you thought you might want to explore it, who knows.
If nothing else, check the guy's show out if you ever have a chance. Great performer and showman and awesome blues guitarist.

I've seen posted black and white pics of Hendrix in the blue car. The pic may have been posted here. A search might kick it up.
