My Corvette's Birthday
Next week, the 4th week of July, is my Corvette's 25th birthday. That is a significant milestone. She was delivered at Clay Chevrolet in Boston Massachusetts and spent time in the Saugus area. She ended up in Southern Connecticut and was then brought to Florida where I bought her. She was obviously beat on and abused most her life and Bubba the mechanic and bodyman turned many a wrench and slapped plenty of bondo on her. I've been undoing Bubba's work for several years now, replacing incorrect, missing, worn out, and broken parts. In return, she's been rewarding me with a thrill every time I drive her. Happy birthday! ol' gal.

Today is my Corvette's trim tag date: L20 = July 20 and in 1973 it was a Friday. I figure my Corvette came off the assembly line late on Monday July 23, so my Corvette's birthday will be Monday - same day in 1973.
Maybe I will fill up the tank for its birthday present.

That's a good story. Happy Birthday! My 76 doesn't have quite the dramatic past but she has become much happier after moving to my home. The old owner wasn't paying much attention to her the last few years... just using her. Since I've adopted I her, I've been spoiling her with new engine parts and a new interior. She's definitely got a new outlook on life!
