Your vette is certainly one of a kind. The bumpers finish it off nicely. You did a terrific job. Also a nice choice of wheels.

Just joined today and found your thread. You did exactly what I want to do soon.. Buy a broken down Stingray and bring it back to life. I know little about vehicles, need to learn a lot before I put any money down. It's good to see a successful job. Great work!

Is it just the picture or does that door need a little more blocking?

Especially in the doors.

Looks cool though. This is definitely one of the most tasteful major body mods I've seen. Good vision and execution.

I can't help but wonder what this would have looked like with a '78-82 as a starting point (and keeping the bubble back window).

You mentioned you were going "pro touring" with this car, what kind of engine/suspension mods have/will you be doing? Not trying to pick, because I know you've busted your azz on this project, but was there a reason you didn't carry the "mudflaps" from the C3 over to the rear wheelwells?

Looks great, but noticed the doors right away. Still, an amazing transformation. I commend you!

Ahhhhhh! Wait a minute, " I know little about vehicles" I doubt that you are ready for a project like this yet.

Yes, some durablocks have already been ordered. I just put some paint on it so I could drive it this season. Calipers were leaking from sitting. I think I am going to move the headlights up to the stock location when I repaint.

The car already has FI and modern aftermarket A/C. The engine has a true dual exhaust sans cats and a mild cam. The car runs very well and the car rides surprisingly smooth. I did not expect a smooth ride from a lowered vehicle. Before this car I had a porsche speedster replica and it was a much rougher ride(but very fun car). I have a rear monoleaf spring. I have a set of vortec heads.

I did not keep the mud flaps because I did not think they looked good with the c2 lines.

This is what the car may have looked like if I did the bubble top. I considered it but decided I liked the notchback look better.

Thanks for the comments, positive and negative.

I have to say, I don't usually like fairly wild customs, but from the beginning, I've always liked yours and it is turning out pretty damn nice. Congrats.

Reblocked and painted the doors. I tried to get some good photos but I am no photographer. I used the flash and know to have the sun at my back but guess I waited to late in the morning because the photos do not show any of the details of the body. Any tips for better photos?
Thanks,
Scott
