Default It begins...

My 73 is finally off to be painted, or was. I'm having a buddy that I trust to do the job. When he started to take it apart to do some suspension work for me, he discovered a thing or too. What has always looked fairly decent on the outside now does not hold up to underneath. Especially the rust in the windshield. He's going to put it right for me, but I'll be reaching deeper into the pocketbook. Here are some before and during pics, any and all opinions are welcome including how much you think it will be to correct the problems visible in the photos. As you can see, the front is pretty much stripped...

I have to admit, seeing it like this is a little unnerving.

Yeah but think about how much nicer it'll be after it's done

Honestly it would make me more nervous to drive my car around knowing it had that cancer like that underneath the skin

Wow I wish you luck on your long road, but in the end, it will be VERY worth it.

Good luck.
