Default It passed the ultimate test.

I put Hammer head through the test today.I drove it to work!!!From Lawson to KC in rush hour traffic.this morning was cool and foggy up north and the vette liked it!The trip home was warm and had to deal with the daily idiots, but Hammer head ran cool and smooth! For the most part everyone was cool (I got alot of )
and I only had one guy act a fool.(Young kid @ 2000 mustang GT)I was being good! He passed me and then slowed back down and got beside me and kept jumpin his car.I did'nt pay much attention to him until he did it a few times,I don't know why he was doin it anyway's we were running @65mph and had cars all around us!I just smiled at him and thought that he would go on.NOT! I had no intention of racin him and could'n t anyway's!
Still I could'nt help just one quick blip of the throttle.(Maybey he just wanted to hear it??)It was just a quick stab and nothing more.It jumped alot better than the stang.Still there he was,,,,I slowed down and motioned for him to go on ahead,(I was not interested in a race.)He got after it again and Then cut in front of me and slowed down.?????I WAS GOOD!!and He finally turned off.I had a good trip home otherwise.

Great to see Hammerhead out and about...
Have been on the board awhile now, so was watching as you did all the concept photo shopping and all.
I like what you did with it.
My Dad is a 50-s guy(51 Merc right now) and he is in primer(always has been) 15 years plus.
PINK Primer...lol
Anyway- He drives it and gets full use out of it.
He even tows his little trailer the WARSAW HILTON!
He would appreciate your customizing even though he belives they stopped making corvettes after 67.
He was a friend of FONZE(Spelling), Has now passed.
A 50s rat rod customizer.
I saw a video on him chopping a roof once. Histerical.
Give my 7 year old a box of tools and let her take a wack at it, it would be just as amusing...BUT it worked!

As for the racing-
I just don't have the racing mentality.
If a guy came up along side me and rev'd I would be like "Thumbs up" sounds awesome....
A race wouldnt even come into my mind.
Last year I had a 71 Black on Black Coupe manual with LOUD Sidepipes.
That thing was BEGGIN for a showdown.

The 72 I now have is a lot more subtle and less powerful.

Saturday- Took it for a quick run to sears and came to a stop light- And I was fiddling with the ash try cover as it always slides down, and I look up and there is a 58 Vette directly behind me.
Guy in his 50/60s.
Anyway- BIG SMILE , and a obvious wave.
Smile didnt go away for blocks.
I am a HUGE 57 fan.
Preference kinda goes 57, 56, 58, 69-72.
I can afford the C3, so I figured I would start there and join the family.
Who knows maybe I will be able to add BOTH.
As I have heard there are only 2 types of Corvette owners.
Those that own 2 Corvettes,
And THOSE THAT WILL!
