Updated sneak peek - Time To Choose Paint Color
Finally...... Down to the last step....selection of paint color.
I have a 73 that was originally orange. It had been previously repainted orange and a very bad paint job at that.
The car is stripped down and ready for a complete color change. Out of all the things I've done to get ready, the most difficult is to finalize the color.
Staying with original colors for that year is not an absolute must. Not worried about resell value. Thinking of the 2005 Sunset Pearl Orange. Or even a color close to it.
I know this is a personal decision, but you guys always have great input on any topic. And if anyone has some photoshop skills and can redo a 73 in Sunset Pearl Orange I'd buy you a beer or two of your favorite brewer.
Thanks

That being said, someone threw out the idea of black pearl for my care on another thread and that sounded good too.

Not bad. Ya got any side shots? I was hoping for someone local, but I guess I'll have to fly out your way for a beer. I owe you

the Atomic Orange looks great, mine was originally Ont. Orange and last painted Monza Red in the mid 80's. I'm looking to put it back closer to original. I will have to head over to our local dealer to see this colour in person - maybe a some large gold flake added just like that truck done a few years ago on Trucks where they used a 3 stage paint.

Color is up to your personal preference and I wouldn't say what color is better or worse, but my preference is the one that does not make beautiful round tail lights buried into body color. Red is not my favarite for that reason, but these bright orange might be fine with me.

I'm partial to the Ontario Orange, for obvious reasons.

I always liked the burnt orange or corvette bronze from 68.
My first 68 camaro was that color from the factory and i always liked it?
but i also love the 68 leMans blue but i may be a lil biased?

Here's another vote for the '08 Atomic Orange.

If you want to stay original, you might consider doing the Ontario Orange again, but in a Firemist paint. I know that GM had it as an option in '72 and I expect that it was available for a couple of years (or 3). The gold metal-flake in that color really makes it look outstanding.
