I'm Super Impressed and Congrats!
First Post on CF! I stumbled upon this thread googling something like "Corvette paint" or "corvette fiberglass repair" or "c3 bonding" I actually don't remember, but your thread provided almost EVERYTHING I could every want to know and more about restoring a corvette (or any car) the right way!
Truly an amazing story and i'm not sure if you have a blog/vlog/etc but you should totally have one as you have great detail in your postings and could almost be a "how to" instead of an update on your current project! This would also set you up for all of us to follow you on all of your other projects, like Byron's car, and countless future other projects.
I got the impression you are good with websites and computers so this should be easy, plus all the social media attention is always. good for you and your current employer. Basically the same thing you do here but listed blog style for the rest of the world, believe it or not there is money to be made there as well! If you did a blog/vlog I would subscribe and read/watch.
I do have to ask now that you have been in school and in the trade...did you learn more working with folks like Mike and Byron (and others in your thread) or did school actually teach you something that is useful to you that you just did not already "get". I ask because I am not going to do this as a career, but as a hobby and there are alot of aspects I do not know as much about as I would like.
Again awesome thread and keep it going!

I plan on continually updating our website (www.alternativerestoration.ca) once I get settled in my new home. As far as a blog, I don't think I will have quite as much time as I used to have! We will see, I might start one for Byron's car.
In terms of learning the trade, going to school is a huge asset. There are lots of things they teach you, which prepares you for the rest of your career. You need to know how to do collision repair if you want to be successful in restoration. One year is dedicated to frame and structural alignment, as well as suspension geometry. I have learned from everyone, both in school, and at work. Byron has taught me the most, no doubt about it.
I will be posting photos from Penticton shortly, I just need to get some time to update my photobucket account.

I've been keeping myself real busy with my new house...getting the garage ready. Lots of work, haven't had alot of time to be on here.
We sponsored the Okotoks car show last weekend. The 67 Shelby GT500KR we did, my car, Rick's 3000 HP 7 second race car, and Mike's 6 second Nova were at our display. It was a lot of fun. I drove the vette down to the show, and Rick also drove his down.

Small world, an old work colleague in Scotland emigrated to Canada about 8 years ago and I think his custom chopper got 2nd prize at that same show

Haven't been on here in a while. I've been too busy with work and building my garage.
I beleive the article on the car comes out November 10th.

Quite impressive. I would be proud to call you my son. Keep up the good work. The biggest advice I can pass on is when you run into a tough situation, delay tackling it if you are tired or frustrated. Be patient and maintain a steady pace. Good Luck. HRP

I haven't received a hard copy of the magazine, but i received a digital article. I'm pretty excited about this; hard word pays off.
