do all L-82 engines have dual snorkel air cleaners?
i recently purchased a 1977 L82 4 speed, the VIN on the car says it's an L82, but i have yet to get down to the engine serial numbers to verify they match, I really didn't care as I plan to do some major upgrades, but I am simply wondering if L82's also had the single snorkel set up on the air cleaners like the L48's?

my 78 does. I think I remember reading somewhere that the 78 was the first year they put them on, it was called a performance improvement by Chevy.

My stock 78 L-82....owned it 29 years...
Also, 1976-1977 L-82 vettes had dual snorkle air cleaners...
Note: All 1973-1975 Corvettes used air cleaner design that works with fresh air induction hood...

The 1977 L-82 had a single snorkle air breather, the same as the L-48. All 1978 thru 1980 L-82's had the dual snorkel air breather, as did the 1981 190 horse L-81 350.

Base engine= single snorkle air cleaner offset to driver side
L-82 engines= two forward facing snorkles

That information is not correct. Here is a 1977 L-82 that was in the Corvette Museum for many years. The plastic seat wrappers covers from the factory assembly line still on his car. 1978 was the first year for the L-82 dual snorkel setup.

Bur seriously I'm pretty sure I've seen some 77s and maybe some 76s with dual snorkels.
Nope! 79 L-48 had single snokel, L-82 had dual!........LT
