Default Ebayer Jacked me.

Long story but they were deceptive and had no compassion. Did refund my $ less restocking fee. I made them an offer on a carpet set. They had a pic of black and said specify color. I specified black and they sent brown. They said they would return for a restocking fee. Nothing I could do. I lost 70.00. Restocking and shipping 2 ways..

NORTHCOAST MUSCLECAR

When I read that they have been selling parts for Mustangs for ? years I felt a little wierd..

Wouldnt reccommend.

Hey Merlin Dont Suppose you payed with A credit card. the card Company likes to know you got what you payed for they might credit your card back .not sure on re-stocking fees and shipping but work with them I threatened to cut up my card and they split the Diffrence with me. I m not sure the Ebayer knows how many people read these posts and that are acutally read lots but dont post much?My feeling he would get more business by helping out instead of what he thinks people are use too.(Gettind Mauled on Ebay)all he would have to do is look at the Christmas post to get A small idea what he could be helping out the RIGHT way. My 75 has A black Int And Ill be darned if they sent me the wrong color If I would pay anything foward.

Was this verbal (over the phone) or via eBay messages? If you have proof that you asked for black and they agreed to ship black...and didn't...that's absolutely something you can get relief on.

If not...always communicate through eBay messaging, never verbal or email. Saved my bacon more times than I can count, including this little fiasco (below). I added the page to search engines with his eBay name...and he is "no longer a registered user".

There are tools to protect you in ebay. Open the dispute console in 'my ebay' and follow the directions. pretty simple and it works. Ebay is very concerned about having happy buyers and are leaning heavy on 'some' sellers.

I ordered a spin on oil filter adaptor and got some 'life time' square filter thingy.

Filled out the dispute, seller is refunding my money, shipping and paid return shipping.

edit: checked out your seller. He's a full time ebay seller. He's got too much to lose to not make this "right" (and by 'right' I don't mean sending you a full refund and 6 carpet sets, but rather, like returning anything to a store, getting your money back)

This sucks as always, consumer having to pay for the sellers mistakes. I agree, find out where you said "black" and lay into them.

Ive done enough ebaying to know when your screwed your screwed. Unless you feel like spending a few hours of typing etc to get something to happen. I also dont usually take the time (once Ive been screwed) to seek revenge. This is rare.

What happened was the listing had "make an offer" tab. I decided to make an offer. When I did I put Black. When I got it and called, they started in with the policy talk. If I knew what kind of people I was dealing with I wouldnt have done it.

Deep into the listing in fine print it said Saddle. The pic was black and it said specify color?????

Just how it goes.. I lost 70 bucks because I dont feel like spending the next week arguing over someone being rude and taking advantage of me..

Whatever..

I don't do a ton of eBay, but so far eBay/PayPal have taken care of problems with very little effort on my part on the 4 "bad deals". The only reason I went after the "mcsteeze" guy so hard was the interpersonal nastiness. I should probably drop the site since I won

I don't understand what you mean by "I put in Black"...if the item said Saddle, and you sent a note asking for it in black, that's one thing. If other colors were an option and you took that option...then it's worth chasing.

As noted, it's your money/time

One tip on leaving feedback, if you wait until just a few minutes before 90 days from the end of the auction is up, you can leave negative feedback and after 90 days they can't give it back to you. I buy and sell all the time on Ebay and other than one thief who got me for $13. I have never had a problem and we are talking about 1,600 transactions that I have been involved in.

I also have never considered buying anything or selling on E-Bay...I just feel that it is a "sub-prime market place"...But, whom ever you choose to fry your chicken is o.k. with me...

yeah because before eBay, these people didnt screw you over in person instead.. yeah, right. if only :P

$70 is alot to shrug off, but technically the way you say it, its a toss up, if it did in fact say 'saddle' somewhere in there.. ebay is not the only place this game is played, big name companies are running this too, you will run into it eventually
